Join us for a transformative 5-month journey into the heart of yoga. Whether you’re looking to deepen your personal practice or step into the role of a certified yoga teacher, this program provides comprehensive training, mentorship, and support every step of the way.

Program Leadership
This training will be led by Salena Quinlan-Shults, owner of Yoga On Main. With over 20 years of experience teaching yoga and 17 years of operating a successful studio in Frisco, TX, Salena brings a wealth of knowledge, passion, and real-world expertise to this training.

In Partnership with Purple Lotus Yoga
Purple Lotus Yoga has been training yoga teachers since 2003 and is a Registered Yoga School (RYS) with Yoga Alliance. Several of our current instructors at Yoga On Main are graduates of PLY’s trusted methodology. This program meets all Yoga Alliance requirements.

Training Details

Schedule:
September 2nd – February 3rd, 2026
Meetings occur during the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd weeks of each month. The 4th week is a rest/integration week.
Proposed Weekly Schedule:
• Tuesdays: 10:30AM – 2:30PM
• Thursdays: 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM
• Fridays: 10:30AM – 2:30 PM
(Schedule may be adjusted based on group availability)

Curriculum Overview

Module 1: Yoga Foundations
History, philosophy, classical forms, yoga styles, the Eight Limbs, yamas & niyamas, foundational asanas.

Module 2: Teaching Foundations
Sequencing, cueing, environment, class management, observing, mentoring, sun salutations.

Module 3: Ethics Foundations
Yoga philosophy and equity, The Four Agreements, kriya yoga, cool-down postures.

Module 4: Breath Foundations
Breath techniques, anatomy of breath, pranayama, standing postures.

Module 5: Meditation Foundations
Styles of meditation, tools (mantras, mudras), nervous system effects, seated postures.

Module 6: Anatomy Foundations
Body systems, muscles, bones, nervous system, and yoga’s effects on anatomy; standing balance poses.

Module 7: Chakra Foundations
Energy centers, physical/mental connections, practices to balance energy, prone postures.

Module 8: Business Foundations
Where to teach, pay expectations, insurance, Yoga Alliance, next steps, arm balancing, and final review.

Investment

Pay in Full: $3,150
$500 deposit due upon registration. Remainder due by, August 1st 2025.

Payment Plan:
$630/month for 5 months (billed on the 1st of each month)
